ボンズ

Some say a bond of a teacher and student is unmeasurable...

anyway...

It was July 7, 2001 when I met my master/sensei... I was just only 12years old back then when I met him...

AXN Anime Fest July 7, 2001 at SM Megamall, I was with my mother and my oldest brother. That was my first time to go on a Anime convention and my first time to saw a cosplayer, It's like "WOOW!" when I saw them hahaha!

Then one of the marshals announced that they still need one more contestant for the "On the spot drawing contest" suddenly my mom told me to try and join the contest... I just nodded...

I didn't knew what i'm doing back then... When I saw the works of the other contestants I knew that there's no chance for me yet still... I tried... I drew a chibi version of Cloud Strife the main character of Final Fantasy 7...

Yet i lose the competition...

Then it was autograph signing of Mahiro Maeda. Japan's premier illustrator and director of the TV hit Blue Submarine No. 6 as one of the contestants we were prioritized for the autograph signing! Lucky! hahahaha!

After the signing then suddenly a man came to me and said "Gusto mo ba gumaling?" I was back then "Huh?! sino ka ba?"

I just ignored him back then like my mother usually told me "don't talk to strangers" hahahaha!

As the AXN Anime Fest ended I didn't saw him again...

A year passed it was C3 convention the first Philippine comic book and Animé Convention came... of course me and my oldest brother came to the event... that was my first time I saw Lyndon
Gregorio personally who created the hit comic Beerkada.

And of course there was "On the spot drawing contest" yet i didn't join... I said to myself back then "Sasali nanaman ba ako para matalo?...." I was afraid to lose...

Then before C3 ended I saw him again... The man who said to me "Gusto mo ba gumaling?" then he talk to me again, and before he finished talking i suddenly said to him "Master! gusto ko gumaling!!" then he just said to me "tawagin mo na lng akong sensei"

It was the start of a Bond....

Sensei teach me a lot of things, to simple sketching up to different walks of life...

Sensei just became an inspiration to me...

I remembered back then i asked my sensei why did he choose me to be his student yet i loss at the competition, he just ignored my question.

After two years under his guidance... It was time for my sensei to return to japan... I was sad i didn't knew what to do... but sensei said "Wag ka malungkot.... Ipangako mo sakin na mag iimprove ka parin kahit wala ako....." I was crying when i said to him "Sensei! oo! gagawin ko yan!" then the next day sensei left for his flight to japan...

Years passed it's just me alone.... improving my drawing skills...

More years have passed then suddenly I got a phone call from sensei and he said to me if i want to be an assistant artist i didn't hesitate i said to my self "Eto na! Oras na para patunayan ko kay sensei ung ilang taon ng pag hahanda ko"

One of his colleagues gave me an exam.... A week passed, sensei called to tell me I've passed the exam, I cried when he told me i passed the exam and I'll become his assistant artist i still remember what he told me at the phone "Ikaw parin talaga ung studyante ko.... iyakin ka parin hahaha!"

Up until now sensei still won't answer my question why did he choose me to be his student...

Still i'm glad to have a sensei like him ^^

Almost in love...

I shouldn't been writing this today because i have a lot of things to do... yet... anyway....

I had a crush on a girl back then but i was only a crush... But this is me and the first girl that I've loved truly.....

"Hoho ni fure sou na mune no takanari
Mitsumeru tabi ni koi ga chikaduku
Yuki ga mai sou na sora no shita
Deaeta no wa itazura ja naku
I'm just being in love hajimari sou sa
just in love? Sukoshizutsu... sukoshizutsu..."

It was late December 2006 when i joined otakuzine forums... It was then i met her online she was one of the moderators of the forum... at first i thought she was strict because she's a moderator yet i find her as a kind person... then came Ozine fest 2008 an anime convention held at SM Megamall, that was my first time to meet her personally...

As an otaku I've always loved to go in those kind of events...

As being a moderator of ozine forums she was assigned to the ozine forumer's booth as i approached the booth i was immediately greeted by her and i still remember clearly what she first said to me...

"Raiza!" *handshake*

Me:...... *handshake*

I was talking to my self back then saying "......" i don't know but... it's like an instant crush on her hahaha!

Some forumers back then was already joking and calling her "Dyosa"

As the Ozine fest 2008 goes on I've also met some other forumers.

"Tokimeki wa kimi no tonari de
Kurikaeshi afurete yuku
Ai no yokan ni tsutsumarete
Arigachi na hitokoto sae mo
Hi wo tomosu yo
maybe in love with you"

At Mangaholix 2008 I've had a chance to see her again yet I'm not that close to her that's why we only exchange some few words

Months passed after those events the usual talk at the forums with her became "Kulitan" she even gave her ozine account to me to moderate the forums while she's gone because i was always online back then

If i remembered it correctly it was late June 2008 when the dorm system at ozine forums was implemented, I became the Dorm 1 moderator thanks to her(because she was the little baby girl of the ozine team) i still remember when we are chatting at YM how i became a moderator she said "sabi ko kay kuya DJ gawin kang Mod kasi masipag ka naman :)) "

At dorm 1 we also became dorm mates and became a bit more closer to each other...

Anicon 2008 again i was able to see her and i was a bit more comfortable talking with her "personally" this is also the time i got used calling her "Dyosa" hehehe...

It was December when we really got close.....

Ozine forumers Christmas gathering at Mega Mall December 27 of course she came... all of us had a good time back then.

"Wazato ijiwaru wo shite mita keredo
Donna serifu mo
amaku tokeru yo
kiss ni ato dore kurai darou?
Konya kimi wo kaeshi taku wa nai
I'm just being in love dakishimetakute
just in love
Itsumademo...itsumademo..."

Then after the Christmas gathering i didn't knew we were texting the whole week... she was telling that her crush at ozine had already a girlfriend i was comforting her back then. then i just suddenly joked her and texted "ako na lang mag aaply sa puso mo XD" then she replied "hahaha! mag aaply ka? XD" i don't know why but there's a little happiness in my heart when she replied...

We were just joking the whole night about that like "weh? mas mahal ako ni dyosa" then she will reply "asaaaaa mas mahal ako ni mortal XD" (she called me "Mortal" because everyone called her Dyosa)

It was new years day when i asked her to go out together... January 3, 2009 we met at Mall of Asia i don't know if i could really call it our date because were not really in a relationship.... as our so called "Date" goes on we did go to Powerstation and played a few arcade together after that i treated her on a Ice cream... while eating the ice cream she was telling about her first date... we were about to watch a movie yet our time is not enough because she need to go home early, so i decided to accompany her going home....

While at MRT there were moments that her hair flowed through my face i was joking her "Miss Pantene?" she just laughed.

When we reach Trinoma she said it's for me ok to leave... I said i'll wait until you get in a cab, then the cab arrived as she ride i whispered on his ears "I love you" she immediately reply "I love you too" and smiled.. I don't know what really happen back then as if I'm just dreaming.... but at that point I've really fallen in love with her...

The next day she text me that she was going home at Baguio her home province....

After a week she wasn't texting me anymore yet i continue to greet her at text every morning with "Morning dyosa labs you"

Then suddenly I've received a text from her.... The text message contains this exact words "Suma kedo anata atashi wa daisuki nai" it means "I'm sorry but I don't love you...."

Infatuation?...........

"Nanimo iwazu ni hiki yosete
Hibiki au mune no kodou
Toki no ne ga kikoeru hodo ni
Tameratte furueru nante
Rashiku mo nai
almost in love"

It was almost two weeks when i finally talked to her again like there's nothing happened between us...

Ozine Fest 2009 i got a chance to see her again she was a bit awkward towards me yet still gave my little gift to her...

After the event some ozine forumers decided to join us to play Ragnarok then she did also join us at Valhalla server...

I was a bit happy that she's playing RO and able to spend time with her virtually...

Then it was our guild's hot seat session where we ask questions to the member and he/she must answer it honestly at first she was the hot seat, then the questions immediately got hot because my guild members already knew what are my feelings for her... then it was my time to ask her... suddenly i just asked her "Papayag ka ba na ligawan kita ulit?" she replied briefly "wag muna ngayon" i remembered it was chaud saying "Si GM Dex tunay na lalaki!" hahahaha!

After her hot seat moment i became the next hot seat, of course a lot of intriguing questions was thrown on me but the last question by honou was the question almost everyone reacted "dex fill in the blanks "_____ Raiza kasi______" i answered "Mahal ko si raiza kasi dyosa yan" everyone reacted saying "Whooooooooo!"

RB's guild outing at Bosay resort this is the last time... yeah the last time....

Our guild outing was a night swimming everyone enjoyed specially the turtle pool where we rotate the pool like a snake hahahaha! it was fun! then there was this moment when nix said me and raiza will buy some beer! i just nodded and it was a bit funny that she just tag along with me to buy the beers, as we bought the beers and while walking to go back to our cottage it was just pure silence... i was a bit nervous to start a topic... we've reach our cottage without as exchange of words...

"Kono kagayaki wa ima kimi ga kureta kiseki
Futari no sekai ga ugoki dasu
Te no hira no sasayaki
Tsutaeteru binetsu wa
Tomerare nai koko kara saki
Kitto only you"

Our guild outing ended good and fun but for me there goes my chance....

I was playing Ragnarok when me,honou and neil are chatting, they were asking me what happened at our outing.... I can't really answer them... It's just I'm afraid to be rejected again by her....

Weeks passed school is back again she was already in collage, then again we got awkward to each other....

Month passed i got detached to her because i became busy trying my best to become a better guild master for our guild and also we are far from each other...

Another month passed, early morning I've opened my multiply account and saw their pictures... her picture and a guy making a heart sign with both their hands, it was then i think and said to my self "Tapos na....."

I waited for her to online at YM... as i saw her online i immediately pm her... first i joked her "rai nanjan pa ung RO load mo?" she replied "wala na eh tado kasi ung magnanakaw na wala ung wallet ko :(( " then i said "waaaaaaa! ibig sabihin na wala na din ung card sa powerstation?" "Uu :( " she said.....

I didn't notice tears were flowing... the card from the powerstation arcade was our only remembrance from our "date" yet it was gone....

It's like a sign that i should really stop...

As our conversation at YM continue i didn't asked if she already had a boyfriend i just suddenly said "Rai ung BF mo daw kamuka nung BF ni idol =))" she said "XD"

One of my final words while talking to him at YM that I really can't forget is "Pero buti naman ung taong minahal mo ngayon ay mahal ka din ^^"

That night i didn't cry....

The next day i suddenly remembered that i haven't colored her chibi version of her Ragnarok wizard that was drawn by erin as i rushed coloring it my tears suddenly fell.....

Here's the colored chibi of her wizard.

Here's what I've written at my comment on that art...

"Maybe this is the last time i'll be doing something art related with my purest feelings for the owner of the chibi wizard...

Because next time... I'll just do it as a normal art request"

That night i cry until i fell asleep...

As i woke up the next day i said to myself "wala na"

"Tokimeki wa kimi no tonari de
Kurikaeshi afureru kara
Kono mama tada soba ni ite
Ichibyou mo hanashitaku wa nai aishite iru
I'm in love with you"

Preposterous Month!

A lot of things happen in the past weeks there comes the Typhoon Ondoy that hit us on Sept. 26 and almost made the whole metro manila sunk in water.

Typhoon Ondoy's wind speed wasn't a real threat, it's max wind speed only reach 85kph but what devastate the metro manila is it's water volume that is equivalent to one month rain fall...

Sept.28-29 my aunt and me decided to go on a volunteer work at GMA kapuso foundation, on Tuesday Sept.29 we were deployed at Marikina to give the relief goods, while on the trip to Marikina i was sitting on the side of the driver's seat and texting some of my friends then suddenly a man grabbed my cellphone! i was pulling my cellphone hard from being snatch! lucky the thief give up!

It was sad when were the ones who's helping the typhoon victims yet they do something bad to us....

Oct.3 I went to Level-up games office for the orientation of our guild booth for the upcoming LU! LIVE 2009 that was my first time to go there and my first time to meet GM Anael(Community Manager of pRO)

So the whole month of September we'll be busy preparing our merchandise and booth....

I'm busy this month yet something is disturbing me... well this "Mr. Agaw Attention" is the boyfriend of my close girl friend, i don't know why... but he's insecure to ME! yeah! to an ugly guy like ME! seriously!(this is the hard part when you have a girl close friend...) "Mr. Agaw Attention" shouldn't be jealous to me and his girlfriend and also my close friend... i should already courted my close friend a very very long time ago if i had a feelings for her...

Anyway....

Good luck to our guild for the upcoming LU! LIVE 2009 on November 7-8 at World Trade Center

Guild master talk

Pinoy Gaming Network in cooperation with E-games Philippines recently concluded the Guildmasters’ Forum Event on Sept.24 at MilkyWay cafe

Nix and I came to the event and actually we were the early birds to arrive! hahaha!

Then after a while Ragnarok beta player and also the first to became hunter in chaos server came, known as "Biogesic" in chaos server. also the former Ragnarok Game Master Phaige came to the event.

Guildmasters from Cabal, Ran, ZX, Audition,RF Online, Ragnarok Online and even World of Warcraft came! and the Red Elite guild(also valhalla server)came, nix and i had a chance to have a few good talk with them.

The event started with a short introduction and a talk on the IBM study delivered by Pinoy Gaming Network’s own David Ralph Lleno(also known as the Ragnarok Game Hero Sir David)
He briefly touched the subject of the different reasons why online guild leadership has a strong correlation with real life leadership and even leadership in the corporate world.

Well... What he said back then was true... and reflected upon me....

There was also a video clip about online facts that 1 out 8 getting married today met online, then someone said "We have a living proof here!" and Sir David was laughing ehehehe!

He was followed by Gil Edeza President of E-Games and a pioneer of the Philippine online gaming industry.
Mr. Edeza discussed the history of Philippine online gaming and its current state as well as its future outlook, citing that the way things are going poses great opportunities for guildmasters to make better their online influence and apply it to the real world.

Mr. Edeza also said we must look forward in the following months about "Gamers" being "Professional Gamers"

Last and certainly not the least, the keynote speaker on leadership was welcomed, Senator Chiz Escudero.
He discussed the vast similarities of the online world to the real world and the consequences of one’s actions in both. He encouraged guildmasters to use their influence in the online world to make valuable contributions to society at large, the response to his speech was tremendous.

Questions came pouring in during the open forum regarding how guildmasters could use their influence to positively contribute to Philippine society. Senator Escudero promptly answers with an analogy of using the guild as a “rotary club”. He urged that guildmasters like me should discuss things that matter in society with our guildmembers and possibly create events to address these issues. The senator went as far as to say that even if they don’t support him, as long as they engage and get themselves involved (positively) is already a step in the right direction.
There was also one question about being scammed in-game and Senator Chiz asked what can a guildmaster do about it, others answered "wage war agains't the guild where the scammer belong" and Senator Chiz answered " That's Interesting!" everyone laughed!!

Senator Chiz playing Ragnarok(valhalla)

The event ended with photo ops and a raffle that had a few guildmasters walk away with a Chiz Escudero boble head and one very lucky guildmaster from Cabal Online bringing home a brand new iPod from Mobil 1.
And lastly the food was good! yum! yum!

All in all the event was good I've learn something... But up until now i don't know what kind of a guildmaster i am.......

6 Years of Rok On!

I suddenly stumbled upon Moderator Anakin's thread at ragnaboards... Let me share what he says....

"Ragnarok Online, the Philippines’ first Massively Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game (MMORPG), celebrates its 6th anniversary, and it’s as strong as ever. And while there have been lots of MMORPGs that made their mark in the Philippines in the last few years, like they say, you never forget your first.

For many of us gamers, pRO was our first taste of the world of online games, and have at one point called the city of Prontera our virtual ‘home away from home’. Our passion for the game even influenced the culture and lifestyle of Pinoys, to the point where “amp” and “chicksilog” are now part of everyday lingo. In fact, the strength of our gaming community gave the Philippines the honor of hosting the Ragnarok World Championships in 2008, making it the first time the highly-anticipated international event has ever been held outside of its home base Korea. How’s that for people power?

It’s been 6 years of action-filled fun and excitement, and Philippine Ragnarok Online is ready for more with the coming of the 3rd jobs! So be a part of the celebration of the first and still one of the biggest MMORPG in the Philippines!

Rok on!"

-Anakin ragnaboards moderator

I suddenly remembered my beta days... my first character was a Merchant and the build for my character was a big mess! hahaha!

6 years of playing ragnarok huh? what did i gain after six years of playing it?... i'm just your average player... back then our guild wasn't able to compete in any championship/server eliminations...

All i can say is after playing six years of ragnarok i have met some really great people... all of those wonderful experience... they won't die in my memories...

As my other friends ask me why don't i get tired of playing ragnarok? I simply answer them...

"It's not the gameplay... It's about memories"

Yoshito Usui Forever

I was watching BBC when i heard the news about the death of the mangaka Yoshito Usui whom created the famous Crayon Shin-chan.

The reports says that Yoshito Usui, was found dead in the mountains of Gunma prefecture after apparently falling to his death off a cliff. Usui had reportedly gone missing on the 11th of the month after telling his family he was going for a day-hike in the mountains.

I suddenly wonder and immediately search to the internet what will happen to the on-going manga of Crayon Shin-chan?

Reports says that the late
Usui had already submitted his art for two more installments that Futabasha's Manga Town magazine will continue serializing the Crayon Shin-chan until its December issue.

It's just sad.... that the mangaka won't able to finish his most celebrated work....

Rest in peace Yoshito Usui-sama....
